Hello! We are very glad you have come to visit this page. This page will explain how you can write for us in this blog! If you are interested, please read down below for more details and criteria.
As of now, we are accepting submissions, but you must understand that we currently will not hire anybody, and so by doing this you are doing it as a volunteer. We always appreciate people who have the same passion as us, though!
For the content, we accept the following:
– reviews for any visual novel or otome game. If you are submitting a review, you will have to have at least one thing that the game has done well, and also one thing the game could improve upon. The review must be written politely and kindly without any signs of profanity unless absolutely needed.
– walkthroughs for different characters. If you are going to post a walkthrough, you must include a spoiler-free walkthrough which contains at least three points about how the heroine should act, and then the full walkthrough containing which choices to make through the game.
– summaries of character routes, both non-commercial and commercial. Summaries do contain spoilers. We are not looking for word-to-word, but if someone can’t play the game and wants to know exactly what happens, then they would seek out summaries. So, imagine that kind of audience as you are writing a summary. This should include images.
– translations regarding otome games/visual novels. Any translations to any languages (preferably Japanese to English or vice versa) are welcomed, so that people from different parts of the world may read visual novels/information that aren’t currently translated.
– advertisements for your game. Do you have a game- commercial or non commercial- that you want people to know about? Then this is where you can advertise it. You must include general information, character and descriptions, images, the demo (if there is one) and any external links (ie. official company/game website, kickstarter, etc.)
Your articles must include at least 300 words for submission, and you must have native English skills (which include grammar and spelling). You can send your submissions to our Tumblr page.
We look forward to seeing your submissions! Don’t worry, everybody is welcomed in this tea house, after all.
